We originally planned to make this documentary to fulfill our senior project requirement, but it turned into a year-long project filled with learning all about our chosen topic of sex ed. In our documentary, we address the state of sexual education in the Philadelphia School District, with input from students and teachers at Central High School and experts in the field. We focused on different organizations that help to fill the gaps that are left from what sexual education classes don’t cover in schools.
We loved talking to knowledgeable people at all the different steps in the sex ed process. We hope that this documentary will raise awareness of the lacking sex ed in Philadelphia, and inspire change to our sex ed curricula.
